The book is reminiscent of an exciting news report from the world of fairytales which, nevertheless, is still quite believable, genuine and familiar. The protagonists of the book live in our mutual home: in the forest, meadow, by the river or lake; they walk on two legs and are very similar to Latvian people. These are Latvian animals in the setting of Latvian nature: this is how Latvians see the world.
The creative team was awarded the Jānis Baltvilks Prize and the Special Prize of the Zelta ābele (Golden Apple-Tree) panel of experts.
